Washington, DC - Washington, DC - Americans for Peace Now (APN) today urged Israel's government to reverse its apparent intention to adopt portions of a report that seeks to legitimize Israeli settlements in the West Bank and to legalize West Bank "outposts," which were built in violation of Israeli law.
APN's president and CEO, Debra DeLee said: "The U.S. and Israel have a shared interest in implementing a two state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. By adopting portions of a report that states that Israel is not occupying the West Bank - a report that that seeks legal justifications for more settlement construction and for legalizing illegal construction, the government of Israel would be slamming the door in the face of the two state solution."
"As we know from past experience, election campaign seasons, such as the one now in full swing in Israel, are a time in which politicians often pander to voters. We are not surprised by nationalistic bravado. But taking steps that complicate future peacemaking, such as adopting a report that runs contrary to efforts toward a territorial compromise between Israelis and Palestinians, causes real harm to both Israel and the United States."

shame on humanity to stand and doing nothing about this issue.....i think its enough stealing of palestinians lands and annex it to israel ...why the international law does not apply on israel ? why israel is above law. so for what the un made for to legalize the occupation or to delegitimize it?the palestinians suffered enough for the last 64 years and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ....its the time to recognize the palestine state ....
