News Summary:
It was widely reported that police have boosted security in the Old City as well as the Temple Mount, fearing unrest. On Sunday, thirteen Jewish visitors were removed, as well as one Palestinian, for disturbing the peace. Also on Sunday, Jordan warned Israel about violating the status quo on the Temple Mount.  Israel is expanding visiting hours for Jews and denying entry of Palestinian worshippers during certain hours for Passover.

In a recent poll, 58% of Palestinians between the ages of 15 and 29 supported knife attacks targeting Israelis and say diplomacy won’t resolve the conflict. Gazans backed it more than their West Bank brethren—78% to 46%.  The poll was conducted by The Jerusalem Media and Communication Center.

Speaking of polls- a Channel 1 survey indicated that Israelis prefer Hillary Clinton in the White House but feel Trump and Netanyahu would get along better.

It was also widely reported that police expect to recommend closing their probe against opposition leader MK Herzog.  The findings are insufficient and the police are likely to recommend closing the case against him.
