On April 11th, Americans for Peace Now brought together J Street U and the American Task Force on Palestine for "Dance for Peace," a night of music, food, and dialogue. College students of various backgrounds, nationalities and faiths from around the Washington, DC area came to meet others who care deeply about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Between bites of hummus and falafel, and to a soundtrack of popular Israeli and Arabic music, students were given the chance to hear a variety of perspectives on the conflict in a fun, relaxed setting.
On February 11th, APN sponsored, together with the Foundation for Middle East Peace, J Street, the Middle East Institute and Churches for Middle East Peace, a Washington event with Israeli Mideast expert Menachem Klein of Bar-Ilan University. Professor Klein structured his address as public advice to President Obama on how the President should re-energize America's brokership of Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts.

On February 6, Americans for Peace Now sponsored, Together with the Foundation for Middle East Peace, Just Vision, and the Telos Group, a special event on the threat that Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem are posing to the two-state solution.
Washington, DC - APN today sent a letter to President Barack Obama congratulating him on his inauguration for a second term in office and urging him to act quickly, resolutely and decisively to save the two-state solution. APN President and CEO Debra DeLee commented:
All of us at APN are pained and saddened by the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three of his colleagues in Benghazi, Libya. We condemn the violence that took their lives and offer our condolences to their family and friends in this time of grief. Ambassador Stevens was a champion of everything we support: tolerance, peace, security and stability, democracy, civil rights, and human rights for all peoples of the region.
