-- MK Bezalel Smotrich (Habayit Hayehudi) wrote in an Op-Ed Thursday, describing the murder of a Palestinian family allegedly by Jewish settlers to be a serious crime, abominable crime, or nationalist crime, but not terrorism. (Read more)

You Must Be Kidding: 
Two soldiers from an elite IDF unit were arrested on Tuesday for shooting a camel. Video of the incident emerged on Wednesday.

--In a moving Op-Ed, Peace Now Secretary General, Yariv Oppenheimer, writes that the biggest battle of former lawmaker Yossi Sarid, who died over the weekend, was against populism, against yielding to public opinion, to the position of the majority and the desire to please.

You Must Be Kidding: 
Only 7% of the building permits issued in Jerusalem over the past few years have gone to Palestinian neighborhoods where 40% of the city’s population lives. Over the past five years, there have been 11,603 building permits issued, only 878 of which were for Palestinian neighborhoods.

Some 200 Jewish residents of Afula chased their mayor and called him a traitor and a terrorist after Arab citizens won the tenders to build a few dozen homes in the city.

In an effort to stop Palestinian attacks on Israelis, the ultra-Orthodox Chabad movement plans to put up 100,000 billboard signs in E. Jerusalem with a picture of their deceased religious leader, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, alongside the word "messiah" in Arabic and quotes from letters calling for world peace and the need to observe seven Jewish mitzvoth (good deeds).

Asked why he asked for a tattoo of the Islamic State flag and why he has an al-Qaida flag tattoo, the Israeli man said he saw the terrorist groups' flags on the news and "thought they would make pretty tattoos."
