News Summary:
Israel directly accuses Hamas of working with ISIS in Sinai and, a prominent rabbi suspected of raping women is arrested as he tried to leave the country and a battalion commander is demoted for sexually harassing a female soldier making top stories in the Hebrew newspapers today. Meanwhile, Palestinians in E. Jerusalem marked the one year anniversary to the horrific murder of 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir, but

In a highly unusual move, Israel's leading figure in the Arab media explicitly linked Hamas’ militant wing to the ISIS Sinai attacks against the Egyptian military. Haaretz’s military affairs analyst Amos Harel explains that Israel is going to great lengths to link Hamas to ISIS. But, it does not seem to be working. Ynet’s Roi Kais explains that in the shadow of a the massive attack in Sinai, Egypt and Hamas have found a common ground in the battle against ISIS.

**Hundreds participated in a procession Thursday afternoon in the E. Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat chanting, "We want a new Intifada," as they marked the anniversary of the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir Thursday. But the father of the boy who was burned alive by three Jews urged for no violence. Ynet reported from the procession and shared an interesting interview with the slain boy’s father, Hussein, who also told how "Mohammed burned once, but my wife and I burn everyday again." He also told Maariv: "Only Arabs don't get justice." In the year since Abu Khdeir's murder, the Israeli NGO, Ir Amim, revealed in a report the violence, racism and incompetence of the Israeli police in dealing with the Palestinians in E. Jerusalem, including dealign with Israeli violence against Palestinians in Jerusalem (91 cases in six months), collective punishment, the disproportionate use of tear gas and the blasting of a liquid "skunk" chemicals into their homes. (Maariv, Ir Amim Hebrew report)
