Bombshell or not, PA Chairman Abbas’ speech at the UN led the headlines in the Israeli press. In a speech in which
the Chairman didn’t resign or dissolve the Palestinian Authority (both widely speculated in the Hebrew press) he
accused Israel of not meeting their obligations under the Oslo Accords and threatened Palestinians would stop their
compliance.
Settlements are in the news: Israel intends on legalizing the unauthorized settler outpost of Adei Ad located in
the central part of the West Bank. The State’s request followed a petition to the courts by Yesh Din claiming the
outpost was illegal and demanded it be demolished. The state, too, earlier admitted that the outpost was built
illegally.
Defense Minister Yaalon announced that there "neither is, nor will there be, a construction freeze in Judea and
Samaria and Jerusalem." Yaalon plans to expand Etzion settlement area south of Jerusalem.
PM Netanyahu will address the UN GA tonight.
PM Netanyahu met with EU foreign affairs head Federica Mogherini to vent his displeasure with the EU plan to label
products from the settlements.
