You Must Be Kidding:
"In his campaign, President Trump didn't support a Palestinian state, he didn't support this entire outdated line [of policy] that for so many years has brought us only misery.... We're heading down the same old path of arguing about how much to build, what to build, where to build, when the issue now should be applying Israeli sovereignty and security [to Judea and Samaria]."
- Naftali Bennet, Education Minister and head of Habayit Hayehudi

News Summary:
Education Minister and head of the Habayit Hayehudi party, Naftali Bennet, slams Prime Minister Netanyahu on Twitter for announcing a "restrained" policy on settlement construction, limiting it to the built-up areas of already existing settlements. Bennet calls the policy a "historic missed opportunity," the "'same old' two-state solution, arguing about where and how much to build when we should be 'talking about Israeli sovereignty.'"

Former Minister of Interior and Education and once-rising star of Likud, Gideon Sa'ar, is expected to announce his comeback to politics this evening at a Likud meeting in Acre. He is a former Netanyahu loyalist who was believed to represent a formidable challenge to Bibi's control over Likud. His abrupt "time-out" from politics, announced in 2014, came as a shock to many. Likud sources attribute his return to speculation that Israel may hold an early election in the coming months.

A new bill proposes to deduct 1 billion NIS from the tax revenues Israel collects on behalf of the Palestinians, which is equivalent to the amount that the Palestinian Authority gives in stipends and other benefits to the families of Palestinian terrorists and of Palestinian prisoners serving time in Israeli jails for security-related offenses.
