News Summary:
The assessment that US President Donald Trump was determined to achieve a Palestinian-Israeli peace deal, worrying the Israeli right-wing and encouraging the Palestinian President, along with two child tragedies were today’s top stories in the Hebrew Friday newspapers: A 14-year-old boy was found locked
by his parents in his house his whole life and 1-year-old little girl was found dead after her mother forgot her in the car for hours. Also making news, Israel made it to the finals in the Eurovision singing contest, Israel scored a diplomatic goal when FIFA killed the vote on the Palestinian bid to sanction the settlement soccer teams and Hamas said it captured the Israeli-sponsored assassin of its military operative Mazen Fuqaha. Meanwhile, the Fatah movement has called on all its healthy members in Israeli prisons to join the hunger strike and five Palestinians, including a young woman, were injured by Israeli soldiers’ fire when demonstrating in solidarity with the hunger-strikers.
