- Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber, on the mindset of proponents of the “Loyalty in Culture Bill,” in testimony before a Knesset Committee. The bill, which was defeated, would have denied government support to arts and culture institutions whose “actions contradict the country’s principles.” (November 6)

- Shabtay Bendet, of Peace Now’s Settlement Watch team, reacting to the news that since 1967, Israel has only allotted 0.25% (401 acres) of “state land” in the West Bank to Palestinians versus 50% (148,263 acres) to Israeli settlements.
