- Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber, on the mindset of proponents of the “Loyalty in Culture Bill,” in testimony
before a Knesset Committee. The bill, which was defeated, would have denied government support to arts and culture
institutions whose “actions contradict the country’s principles.” (November 6)
“Benjamin Netanyahu has half-apologized for my detention yesterday at Ben Gurion airport. I'll accept when
he apologizes to all the Palestinians and Palestinian-Americans who every day endure far worse.”

- Shabtay Bendet, of Peace Now’s Settlement Watch team, reacting to the news that since 1967, Israel has only
allotted 0.25% (401 acres) of “state land” in the West Bank to Palestinians versus 50% (148,263 acres) to Israeli
settlements. The numbers were revealed by the State following a FOIA request by Peace Now and the Movement for
