News Summary:

Scarcity of chicken, expensive vegetables and the Prime Minister’s UN speech vied for top coverage in Israel’s Yedioth today.

PM Netanyahu will speak to the UN General Assembly tomorrow—he told Israel Radio that his speech would focus on Iranian aggression.

Israel’s air force attacked Hamas targets in Gaza in response to rocket fire aimed at Ashdod. The Iron Dome system intercepted the rocket. Four targets were hit in Gaza.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas delivers his speech later today to the UN Assembly. It was reported in The Times of Israel that sources say he will set a deadline for Jerusalem to "meet obligations" or he will cancel Oslo Accords.

Jordan’s King Abdullah tells the UN GA that ISIS and other extremist groups have caused "a third world war" and that "we must respond with equal intensity." He also said that "we won't allow a threat of the Arab character of Jerusalem."

There were clashes on the West Bank Tuesday, although the Temple Mount was largely quiet on this day. Israeli officials have barred Muslim men under the age of 50 from entering the area, aiming to ease tensions.

The Palestinian flag will be flying outside the main entrance of the UN building.
