News Summary:
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu continues to lose support against the Tzipi Livni - Isaac Herzog duo, according to polls by Maariv and Channel 2 as Netanyahu accuses the media of campaigning against him and Livni and Herzog try to present Netanyahu as weak on security issues making top news in the Friday newspapers. Also high in the news: Israeli and Palestinian coroners differ on whether Israel was responsible for the death of Palestinian Settlements Minister Ziyad Abu Ein (although, based on the headlines in some of the Israeli media, such as Israel Hayom and Ynet, it appears that the autopsy 'proved' that Israel was not responsible) as thousands attended his state funeral and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas halted all contact and security coordination with Israel, the names of the three young men who were arrested for the arson at the Jewish-Arab Yad B'Yad school in Jerusalem were released - activists in the far right-wing anti-Arab Lehava organization and Ynet writes that they were behind other racist attacks, and the embarrassment of the IDF after an internal presentation on lessons learned from the Hamas infiltration and attack of an IDF post near Kibbutz Zikim was leaked to the Internet.
