News Summary:

PM Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Vladimir Putin today in Moscow with the backdrop of potential conflict given the Russian military buildup in Syria. On Israel’s agenda will be: keeping advanced weaponry out of the hands of Hezbollah, preventing attacks on the Golan Heights, and coordinating Israeli operations in Syrian airspace.

Netanyahu last traveled to Moscow in 2013 to try to convince Putin not to sell an advanced air defense system to Iran. It is suspected that this system is now en route to Tehran.

Yedioth Ahronoth reports extensively on a stone-throwing attack by “15 masked men” that managed not to hurt a 6 month baby, Batya, which was described as a miracle. Pictures of the car showed extensive damage.

Attorney General Weinstein announced, once again, that he is opposed to revising the rules of engagement and was opposed to setting minimum punishment for people throwing stones and firebombs.

It was also reported in the Hebrew press that Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog in London to discuss the Iran nuclear deal and the unrest in and around Jerusalem.
