News Summary:
Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said he would not make a deal with Hamas to return the Israelis captive in
Gaza (two citizens believed alive and two dead soldiers), but Israel Hayom reported that he denied saying that, the Education Ministry released scores of communities based on their children’s education level, values
and contribution to the community (the Arab town of Beit Jan got highest scores in education and the
ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak got the worst), and numerous headlines came out of the trial
of Elor Azariya, ‘The Shooting Soldier from Hebron,’ yesterday, including from a company officer who gave inconsistent testimonies and that the anger of the soldiers
following the shooting was so great that "we were concerned at the possibility of a mutiny,” and a Hebron settler, who said that IDF commanders have political motives, making top stories in
today’s Hebrew newspapers.
