Adalah’s petition to the interior minister shows that Bedouins of the Negev who have been Israeli citizens for 20, 30 or even 40 years, some of whom served in the army, who voted and paid their taxes, had Interior Ministry clerks cancel their status with a keystroke.
--Haaretz's Jack Khoury reveals that Israel is revoking the citizenship of hundreds if not thousands of Bedouin citizens of Israel.

News Summary:
The High Court ruled in favor of a limited free speech - and against the Police - and allowed anti-Netanyahu protesters to continue their weekly demonstration outside the home of the Attorney General, but with a maximum of 500 protesters, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman suggested that Israel would destroy Iranian military bases and missile factories in Lebanon, and the families of Israelis missing in the Gaza Strip said they felt abandoned by the government after the government's liason for missing Israelis resigned making top stories in the Friday Hebrew newspapers.
Also in the news were conflicting reports about the views of Palestinian officials in Ramallah regarding the US intentions for bringing about an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. US Middle East envoys Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt met with both Israeli Prime Minister Binyamini Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday. Kushner told both leaders that US President Donald Trump aimed to realize 'the ultimate deal' of Israeli-Palestinian peace. Maariv reported that unlike his recent comments about the Palestinian issue, Abbas commended Trump on his efforts to seek peace. But Israel Hayom reported that officials in Ramallah were worried because Kushner never mentioned the phrase 'two-state solution.' Another report quoted Palestinian leadership severely criticizing the Americans and their ability to serve as an honest mediator between the two sides while acceding to Israeli demands by categorically refusing to publically support the two-state solution.
